An exciting gig came in this month; opening the BRIT Awards with the band MUSE! It meant a couple of very long days at the O2 Arena in London, full of rehearsals and lots of make-up (as you can see!), but it all ran very smoothly and was a brilliant night.
There was a 60-strong band of us behind MUSE on stage with lots of pyrotechnics. It was a really electric performance, all of us on in-ear monitoring, so no expense spared! You can watch the exciting performance here:
Other artists performing live at the BRIT Awards that night were Robbie Williams, Emeli Sandé, Taylor Swift, Justin Timberlake, One Direction, Mumford & Sons and Ben Howard. As we opened the show, we were finished by 8:30pm, and knowing some of the lighting and video crew from many different tours I’ve done, I got to sit in the lighting booth to watch the rest of the show! I also got to meet many of the artists, plus many celebrities in the audience that night, many of which who were presenting awards throughout the evening. Great fun!
