On Sunday (30th March) I presented and chaired a discussion on ‘Auditions; A How to & Not to’, as part of the British Trombone Society’s National Trombone Day.

I was joined by an expert panel including; Christian Jones (Opera North), Katy Jones (Hallé Orchestra), Eric Crees (Royal Opera House, Covent Garden), Roger Argente (Royal Philharmonic), Dave Chatterton (Chetham’s School of Music) and international trombone soloist and bandleader Jiggs Whigham. They all offered their advice and shared hints and tips on auditions at all levels.
